Connectors - Low PIM

Low Pim Connectors - PIM is Passive Imtermodulation and it is easily created with the connector. A standard connector can have or has ferrous materials in the make up of the connector and this will allow RF to mix within the connector creating many orders of signal products. PIM is bad for many reasons but perhaps one of the best examples is in the PCS industry where the expected signals reside near, at or below the noise floor. A PIM issue will mask the expected signal in many cases. PIM isn't always created in the connector, it can be created externally by many sources. We won't go into great deal here, but you can google PIM and find a large and wide source of educational information.
