The first St. Louis PCC streetcars were delivered to LA Transit in September 1948, and the last one was retired on March 30, 1963. Car #3148 was operated in Febuary and March 1960 over Pacific Electric Railway's Long Beach Line in order to determine the possibility of converting the Long Beach line to PCC operation.
