The H-34 is one of the most successful transport helicopter since World War II.
It was the standard helicopter for many ground forces throughout the world.
The characteristic fuselage could accomodate 18 soldiers or 12 strechers. The
German Army bought a total of 110 "G" versions, the main users being the army
flying units. However, the H-34 was also flown by the navy on SAR service. Put into
service in 1957, it was not until the end of the 60s that it was superseded
by the Bell UH-1D. The H-34 was powered by a 1525 Hp Curtis Wright radial engine
giving it a speed of about 200 Km/h.
In scale 1:72, this kit is by Revell of Germany with distinctive surface details, detailed
cockpit and landing gear. Moving main and tail rotors. Winch and detailed cargo bay with
seats. Decals.
