CH-47 D Chinook U.S.Army Helicopter

Commissioned by the U.S. Army in 1959, the Boeing Ch-47 Chinook became one of the most successful transport helicopters of the last 30 years. Of the 950 units built, 724 were delivered to the U.S. Army for use in Vietnam. The Chinook was also produced under license in Italy and Japan. The most up to date and most powerful variant, the CH-47D, was characterized by reliability and a high carrying capacity of up to 12.7 tons or 44 troops. The power plant was 2 4500 Shp Avro Lycoming T55-L-712. Max speed is 298 Km/h.
