We have been in business since 1981 and our policies are based upon treating you, our customer, in a fair and proper manner. We get really steamed at some of the "take it or leave it" types of customer service that other companies have and promise you won't get that from us. We treat you as we would want to be treated. Shipments are made first come - first served. We use a variety of shipping methods for shipping. You may be required to personally sign for your parcel.

We package your products very carefully to insure that you get them in good condition. We know you hate it when you wait for something and it arrives broken or damaged. Dave hates it too, so we make sure that all packages are done right. We ship your order really fast ! That is a promise !

You can pay for your purchase several different ways. We use only secure credit card services and we NEVER keep your credit card information online or in a network device. Dave had his number swiped once, it was not pretty ! You are safe with us ! Dave is also a "Verified" PayPal account and a eBay "Verified ID" seller and a member of Online Auction Users Association so you can purchase with confidence from us. For those of you that are Ham Radio Operators, Dave is W5SWL (Formerly WB5FWE) and has been licensed since 1971.

Credit Card Ordering Information - United States Customers

We take credit card fraud seriously. We use the address verification system on all credit card purchases. You need to use the same "ship to" address as your card "billing" address. We know this is not always possible. In the event your ship to address is not the same as your billing address we may need positive proof of who you are and you may have to call your credit card company and add the additional address to their records. This also applies if your card issuer does not support the address verification system. We will send you a email to the email address you entered requesting this proof of identity. After 48 hours, if we have not received the proof, we will cancel your order. All decisions on these matters rest solely with us and are made to protect the card holder.

We regret that we can not accept credit cards that are not issued by US Banks. This includes customers that are outside the states, but use a US based ship to address. If you have a non US Bank issued card, or you cannot provide proof of indentity you will need to make payment via the following methods:

WesternUnion takes credit cards for their transactions on the internet, you may be able to use your credit card there. We will let you know our user ID on request.

ORDER ACCEPTANCE POLICY

We try to process your order at the fastest speed we can. However, there are things that can delay your order. Please make sure you have entered the correct email address, a valid phone number and address. Double check your card number and security code. Your address will be required to be listed in the card issuers database and verifiable by the card issuer. If you require shipment to another address, you need to contact us. Putting a non-verifiable address on the order form will result in delay. We carefully check each order for customer security purposes and we may contact you to obtain clarification or more information. Orders over a certain size or value may require prepayment. Those attempting credit card or delivery fraud should be well advised we use several fraud screening methods to determine the validity of orders and shipment receipts. We use several sources for pursuit of fraudsters and have been very successful. We suggest you don't try. By placing a order with us, you agree to our terms.

SHIPPING METHODS

We need your accurate physical address for your order. In the event you enter a incorrect address and the shipper charges for a correction, we will charge the correction fee to your credit card for the amount of the correction. You may be required to personally sign for your packages. Shipments to US Postal Boxes and those wanting US Mail delivery will be sent via Priority mail and charged at the rate shown in the Priority mail selection. Certain items are not shipable to Alaska, Hawaii, US Possessions or PO Boxes.Orders that select air shipping are confirmed with the customer to prevent errors on shipping methods and addresses.

WARRANTY POLICY

Most items we sell are covered by manufacturers warranties. Unless warranties are offered through Dave's Web Shop specifically, all warranty claims shall be between the customer and the manufacturer of the item.Dave's Web Shop does from time to time offer longer warranties or optional purchased warranty extensions. If such a item is warrantied by Dave's Web Shop, the extent of our liability is the replacement or exchange of said item as long as item or equivilent item is available. In no event shall Dave's Web Shop be responsible for any other loss or claim and customer agrees that purchase from Dave's Web Shop constitutes a contract holding Dave's Web Shop harmless for any claim other than replacement or exchange as noted previously and the value of any warranty is limited to the purchased price of the item. Dave's Web Shop does not sell programming and makes no assertion that any signal or service may be received with any equipment sold through us.

LNB LNBF ELECTRICAL ITEM POLICY

LNBs, LNBFs and other ELECTRICAL ITEMS that are installed are NOT returnable for refund, only for exchange if bad. We do test each item that is sent in using state of the art test equipment and perform actual signal reception tests. Those that are sent in as defective and found to perform normally will be returned to the customer. We charge a fee for testing and return shipping for those that test good. If we find the item tests bad, we will replace or refund it at our option. We may substitute a similar item in the event the item is no longer available.

RETURNS POLICY
RMA NUMBER REQUIRED

All returns, other than damaged, warranty or shipments by our error, will be subject to a 15% restocking fee. All returns shall be less restocking fee and original shipping charges. Customer must pay return shipping. Refused shipments or bad address returns shall incur the same fees and charges to be deducted as if a normal return. Please call for a RMA number for anything that needs to be returned - We will require this RMA number to be clearly marked on the outside of the return box otherwise we cannot accept the box. You may also request a RMA number via the web site contact link.

All returns must be back to us within 15 business days from the date of shipment and must be in original packing and in "unused and uninstalled" condition. Plastic models may only be returned if unopened and still in the shrink wrapping. Items may be returned only if the item has not been installed and are in NEW condition - no scrapes, scratches, dents, paint loss, soiled boxes, etc. Receivers, dishes, signal meters, installation tools and used items are NOT returnable. Hobby and collectibles are not returnable if opened, only exchangable for like items. Final determination rests solely with us.

Satellite items require a certain knowledge to install and maintain. We strongly suggest that you order only if you are knowledgeable enough to be able to install and use satellite items. We are not responsible for such instances where you order equipment, install it, and then find that it isn't what you needed. We are also not in the business of selling equipment so that you can trouble shoot a system and then send equipment back after you have done so. Once something is installed, only warranty exchanges may be made. We cannot guarantee that any certain programming will be available via satellite, we only sell and guarantee the equipment. We are not responsible in the event that you are unable to properly install or aim satellite products. We test each satellite receiver that is sold and we leave selected programming in each receiver for you to use while installing. Items sent in as defective will be tested and confirmed. Those found to be in working order will incur a testing fee and return shipping charge.

PRIVACY POLICY

We do not share your information or use your information for telemarketing or advertising purposes. Your information is private with us, only by lawful order will it ever be released. The only communication you will receive from us will concern your order. We may have opt in newsletters, but you will have to sign up for those if you desire them.
