UH-34 D Sea Horse Helicopter

The Sea Horse was developed in the fifties as a submarine hunter for the U.S. Navy. Later on this helicopter saw service in the army under the name "Choctaw" for troop transports. Due to its robust troop design and reliability, Choctaws were produced and exported in various versions. Among the major users outside the U.S. were the French armed forces as well the German and Japanese forces, which kept these helicopters in service well into the seventies. During the Vietnam war the U.S. Marines used the UH-34D Sea Horse variant extensively.
