I can only get odd or even channels, not both.
Your servo motor on the dish is probably bad or binding. This is the tiny motor on the feedhorn.
What will snow do to me?
Probably not much unless you let it build up on your dish. The weight of it can damage your dish, and it can force it out of shape. Sweep it off if you can.
I get a loud noise outside.
When ? If it is when changing channels, then your servo motor is making the noise, you need to replace it. If it is when your dish is moving, make sure that the mover arm and dish movement points are lubricated.
I get a error count when I move my dish.
If you are always adjusting the positioning, then check your dish and mover arm, etc for being loose. And slop in the assemblies will cause you to loose count and have to re-adjust your east/west settings.
What does "Dish at Physical Limit" mean?
The receiver needs to know that the dish is moving or not via pulses it gets from the actuator arm or mover arm. When it doesn't get those pulses, it thinks the dish has gone to its maximum travel. In reality it may be at the end of its travel, or something could be broken and it isn't moving or it could be not sending the pulses.
I can't find T5?
We have a handy little chart on the satellite page of the web site. Just choose your nearest city and it will give you the general coordinates.
What is F/D ratio?
The F/D ratio is the focal distance of the dish divided by the diameter of the dish.
