The SH-2F is the latest and most to date member of the SeaSprite family, having two engines, improved rotors, sensors and weapons. All Sea Sprites serve in the LAMPS (Light Airborne Multi-Purpose System) for anti-submarine defense. Each helicopter carries more than 2 tons of special equipment including powerful chin radar, sonobuoys, MAD (Magnetic Anomaly Detection) gear,electronic counter measure, new navigation and communications systems and Mk.44 and/or Mk.46 torpedoes. Powered by 2 General Electric T-58-8F engines, the SH-2F has a maximum speed of 270Km/h with a ceiling of 6858m. Main rotor diameter is 13.41m
