The 141 Squadron's motto was: "Caedimus noctu (We stay by night)," and it lived up to it reputation by shooting down German aircraft from the He177 to the BF110. The main task of these night fighters was to seek out enemy targets over Germany and provide RAF bomber support. The Mosquitos replaced the squadron's Beaufighters after initial trails proved this aircraft unsuitable for the job. This aircraft was damaged in 1943 when it flew through HT cables over Holland - dragging 300 feet of cable back to England wrapped around the wings and tail.

The air war in Europe helped decide the outcome of the war. From the early dogfights between Spitfires and Messerschmitts in the skies over Britain to the bombing raids and fighter escorts late in the war, the history of this monumental conflict is rendered in striking detail and authenticity by Corgi. These aircaft can exhibited with the gear up or with the gear down and include the display stand.
