Corgi Junkers Ju 87B-2 Trop - III/StG III
In January 1941, three Ju 87 units left Sicily and flew to Tripoli in North Africa to help the Italian forces defend Libya, then part of the Italian Empire, in a struggle that had seesawed back and forth across the Lubyan Egyptian border for many months. This aircraft displayed a distinctive type of crazy paving style of camouflage, seen on a number of Staffel machines, operated in the campaign during the latter stages of November 1941, just prior to this restructuring.
The air war in Europe helped decide the outcome of the war. From the early dogfights between Spitfires and Messerschmitts in the skies over Britain to the bombing raids and fighter escourts late in the war, the history of this monumental conflict is rendered in striking detail and authenticity by Corgi.
